Style: Plus size thrifting

Last weekend I went thrifting! Thrifting can be a mess or it can be a total win and you have a whole new wardrobe. This weekend was kind of a mess. I wanted to really dig and find plus size options so I can do a comparison between the places and judge the inclusion of all of the sizes. All the places failed but I think this can be a learning experience for everyone!

The first place was Urban Jungle! It was also called Ltrain vintage but tomato potatoes, it was the same place. This location was really big! They had all sorts of things that were truly vintage. From shoes to old guitars, this place had it. I didn't find anything above a size 12 and that was really disheartening but I still had a lot of fun just browsing and seeing all the old things that get to have a new life. The plus size options were really lacking at this place. I think it's due to the area and what people donate but still, it was curated perfectly for a smaller sized person and it was really organized
While I was browsing, I saw this older gentleman that looked like Jeffery Dean Morgan and my day was made.
This jacket gave me all sorts of life this winter season, I got it in a size XXL and I can layer with it. It has a subtle A-line shape that gives you a great shape without the bulk.

The next stop was FriendsNYC! This place is definitely my favorite place. I never find clothes here, but I always find the most amazing vintage rings my sausage fingers can fit. I wear a size 9, so it's pretty hard to find rings that I like. Navajo inspired rings are my favorite to wear and find so Friends is the place I go. This place has clothes, vintage decorations, and all types of nick nacks. I always invest in my rings so that my future kids can have something of mine for a long time. I usually walk out wearing my rings because I always find the best pieces. If you guys want a rundown of my rings, let me know!

The last stop was Beacons Closet. This place was my least favorite. It was overstuffed with things all over the place and it was giving me a headache to hunt for things. It was curated nicely, but I just wanted out as soon as possible. I didn't find anything remotely plus size, but I did find a sweater that was a size Small but somehow fit and it looked great.

I think that someone (me) should start a plus size thrift store. A well-curated place that all plus size gals can donate and shop and not have to worry about falling in love with pieces that don't fit. Overall, thrift stores should have more plus size options. I understand that vintage clothes usually come in smaller sizes but still, they should have something for everyone.

What are your guy's favorite places to thrift? Let me know in the comments below so I can check it out!
