Style: Belly outline

This weekend was the Plus Size Fashion Market at Citypoint mall in Brooklyn! It was hosted by Liz Black from Ps. It's fashion. It was a fabulous event filled with good clothes and good vibes. Eloquii, JC Penney, and +BKLYN were some the of the many brands that were present and selling some of this seasons finest. A lot of bloggers were there as well, taking pictures and having some killer deals. I got a patent leather skirt that I can't to wear!
When I got dressed that morning, I was feeling iffy about wearing this dress. I put it on and I all I saw was a big belly. For some reason, I was feeling really self-conscious about my body, I felt ugly for a split second and I was about to put on a pair of jeans. I was running late, so I just grabbed my bag and ran out of the house. On the train, I kept sucking in my tummy so I wouldn't look so big. Little did I know that I looked great and had nothing to worry about. When I got to the event, everyone was living for my dress! I didn't expect so many people to stop me and ask where I got the dress, or tell me that I looked great.
I was so wrapped up in my head that I didn't let myself enjoy how great I looked. I took these pictures after I ate chipotle so I wasn't in the mood to be sucking in my tummy and making myself feel sick.

Yesterday was the perfect example of how body positivity has changed my life. On some days I feel ugly with my belly outline, but most days I feel fine with it. I'm not a sexy dress, bodycon kind of girl. I'm an A-line, shift dress kind of girl. Showing curves is not a thing I usually do, being sexualized by a dress is not my style. I wanted to buy and wear this dress because I need to start seeing myself in sexy things.

I have plenty of concerts this summer and I knew this dress would be perfect. I'm going to see Avenged Sevenfold in July and I know this dress will keep me cool. Now that I know how cute I look, I plan to wear it with all my leather jackets in the fall and winter. For the warmer weather, my classic black denim jacket and vans will keep me cool!
Unfortunately, this dress is all sold out. I'm 5'5ish and it fit me right at the knee. I thought it was gonna be super short, but it's not. I hate my dresses to be too short in the summer and this dress is perfect.
